Tips to get rid of gants with the sprayer
  1. Make sure you are spraying all areas of your yard - the house, fence, trees, bushes, and lawn.
  2. Reach the entire soil. Because 90% of the gnat problem is in the egg layer cycle, you want to be sure you are allowing the product to soak into the top layer of soil.
  3. A yard 200 sq ft need enough sprayer for 1 treatments. You want to be sure you are using about a 4th of bottle for each treatment and no less.
  4. Cedar oil affects octopamine, which is essential to life for pheromone-driven pests (like fleas and ticks) as it is responsible for regulating heart rate, movement, and behavior in insect pests. Cedar oil blocks the octopamine neurotransmitter receptors in pests, causing pests to be repelled from the area. When contacted, pests suffocate and die. Anything type of pest that you are wanting to kill must be sprayed directly to die by-contact.
  5. Ants coming out of wood baseboards, for instance, your issue could be something more severe or the ants could be coming from outside. In those cases, as a first measure, we recommend spraying directly on the ants you can see, spraying the interior and exterior perimeter of your home, and sealing or caulking any open areas. How To Kill Ants Naturally

I just got mine and checked. It has 70% and 30% other ingredients and I can't see what the 'other' ingredients are right now. But it does stare that it is for organic gardening. However, I will be looking for some that is a 100% neem oil in future. Thanks for the intelligent question. I wondered why it mixes so easily with water. The good thing is it only takes 2 table spoons to the gallon and seems to be doing the job it states it will.

Tips for better usage:
  1. Neem is only toxic in direct exposure (actually spraying bees), Spray early or late in the day when the pollinators aren't there.
  2. Dilution by water: 2 tablespoons to one gallon of water
  3. Please read the guide carefully. I put about one tablespoon full in a half gallon of water and because I just have one orange tree, applied it by hand. All my leaves fell off a few weeks later. They were diseased so maybe that's good. However, they grew back soon after and the tree is looking pretty beautiful right now. I live in the NE so I take it in in the winter. So I think the ratio is a whole lot less. When I did mine there was a oily feel on the leaves that I couldn't wash off.
